Candidate must be over 27 years of age.
Lust be an associate or Fellow of the Institute of
Chemistry in branch = (analysis of food and drugs). The duties will consist of general analytical work,
including the sampling of metals, etc.,

Salary „360 rising to 2420 yearly by two 2. triennial increases of £30, together with a travelling
allowance of thirty dollars (Kax.) per month.

The person sent out must agree to serve for three years after which if the Goverment desire to retain his services he may be taken on to the permanent staff should there be a vacancy thereon. In case of his leaving of his own sacord or an account of dismissal before the termination of his agreement, the passage money paid for the voyage to Hong Kong must be refunded. If taken on to the permanent and pensionable establishment his salary will be subject - to a deduction of four per cent per annum towards the Widows ama Orphans funi, and the right to a free return passage to inglani will be cancelled.
